The Metapace MP-78 all-purpose barcode scanner was designed for the demanding tasks in hospitality and retail. It absolutely reliably scans 1D and 2D barcodes at an impressive rate - both from paper & plastic labels as well as from a smartphone display. It also reads digital codes from vouchers and customer loyalty cards, or promotion codes, QR codes and DataMatrix.
The MP-78 is very powerful. With its 2,400 mAh lithium-ion battery, it scans up to 100,000 times on a single battery charge. That is the equivalent of 14 hours of operation. Additionally, it enjoys working wirelessly, because the area imager is equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 - so it quickly connects with a computer, smartphone or tablet. Its other interfaces include USB, RS-232, keyboard wedge and TGCS (IBM) 46XX via RS-485. It offers reliable scanning performance up to a range of up to 10 meters.
